Some Jobs Deserve More Than a Tick in the Box

Recently, Chun was asked to clean a set of floors that had seen much better days — heavily soiled after years of neglect, and the kind of job nobody pretended would be easy. It demanded patience, determination and a huge amount of hard work, but Chun never complained; he simply got on with it.

Hour after hour

Cleaning a floor like this isn’t a quick fix. It’s slow, careful, repetitive work — the kind where the gap between “good enough” and outstanding comes down to how much attention you’re willing to give the bits nobody’s checking. Chun gave it everything, every detail and every section, refusing to settle for anything less than the standard he knew he was capable of.

When the job was finally done, the transformation was incredible.

A reaction that said it all

More important than the floor itself was the client’s reaction. They could see exactly how much care, pride and effort had gone into every part of the clean, and they were absolutely delighted with the result.
