So much more than just a Logo
Following our recent external audit of ISO accreditation, our ISO team share why they’re genuinely excited about the positive impact ISO brings to the cleaning industry.
‘Why’
Some people see ISO as a set of boxes to tick, but it is way more than just following processes; it’s about understanding why they matter. Every member of our team member should be able to grasp their role in the big picture recognising their contribution to the business’s functioning. Awareness of the ‘why’ adds meaning to our work, rather than it being a long to-do list. Our Quality Manager is passionate about processes as she believes they ensure efficiency across the business and build quality into the delivery of our cleaning. It adds so much value, and it shows our customers that we genuinely care.
Learning, Not Pointing Fingers
By following processes set out and agreed upon by Top Management, we can avoid blaming people when things inevitably go wrong and, in turn, take a more holistic, empathetic examination of why. With the audits and meetings that we regularly carry out, along with recording all feedback, good and bad, we can look at why things go wrong on a wider scale and then put control measures in place to change the roles and responsibilities or the process to eliminate the problems; it is all about the learning.
Once we know what the root cause of the problem is, we can take the best steps to ensure it does not get repeated and do it better next time.
Continual Improvement
Our Quality Management System is worked on on a daily basis by Cheryl Hackney, who consistently leads it with a view of having ZERO non-conformances year after year. With her direction, we have embraced the annual external audits and are dedicated to building high-performing teams focusing on development, resources and training.

The ISO logo is so much more than a logo that we can place on our marketing materials; it shows the initiative and drive from deep within the CleanKing Management Team that we listen and learn and continually implement an effective system that is understood by all and drives improvement.
